My mums collections for weird and wonderful objects found in charity shops adorned every nook and cranny - bells; carved wooden heads; cobalt blue glass and victorian tiles sat alongside mind expanding imagery and antique pieces passed-down. The scene was made more vivid with a soundtrack of Captain Beefheart, Frank Zappa and Jimi Hendrix. Coming to my house was an experience." - Jodie Goodall, Founder
When i'm out sourcing pieces for Moonbow i'm inspired greatly by the colours and patterns found in 60s and 70s fashion. Quite often it will be a colour that will jump out at me first - a flash of tangerine orange for example, peeking out from behind something else that will draw me in to have a closer look.
I also love looking through old

I also love looking through old interior magazines and catalogues for ideas. They give you a real sense of how design schemes reflected the aspirational lifestyles of the period.
Although I admire those who can take on space-age minimalism wholeheartedly, Im much too hectic for it. I prefer to pick out bits here and there to weave into my own eclectic web.
I started selling my psychedelic wares in 2017 at vintage fairs across Yorkshire. I was very lucky to join a well-established network of extremely knowledgable and friendly vintage traders who gave me advice and support and to them I will be forever grateful.
Since then, I have set down more permanent roots with units at Space in Harrogat

Since then, I have set down more permanent roots with units at Space in Harrogate selling a range of vintage furniture and vintage homewares.
In 2021 I began to sell vintage clothes & accessories too. In some ways, this was inevitable as my love for vintage clothes began when I was very young and I knew it wouldn't be too long before I would bring them into the Moonbow world.
Vintage clothes are just more fun, allow you to be more expressive and are just so much better for the planet.
